The Grand Regatta (State Games of Michigan)

A medium-sized regional regatta, hosted by the GRRA. Races are upstream from Ann Street to the north end of Riverside Park and will take place starting 8 am, Saturday June 26. The coach & coxswain meeting will be at 7:15 am on Saturday.

All participants will need to bring a signed waiver in order to compete in the regatta. Download the waiver here.

Regatta competitors in town on Friday night (6/25) can also attend the Opening Ceremonies of the State Games, which is being hosted in Grand Rapids that weekend (the Grand Regatta is the rowing event of the State Games).

The Opening Ceremonies are taking place at 7:00 pm at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids, complete with a torch lighting, athlete parade, speakers, indoor fireworks, and American Idol finalist Matt Giraud.

All registered competitors, regardless of statehood, are welcome at State Games events, and can pick up a State Games t-shirt at the arena.

Following the opening ceremonies, the GRRA will be hosting a pasta dinner "RowFest" in Rosa Parks Circle, at the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, with live music and a beer tent. All are welcome!

Registration opens on March 15 and closes on June 21.
