For our 3rd year, we have been invited to the Henley on Boardman, a fun scrimmage with Traverse Area Community Rowing (TACR). This is a 1000m race for novice and advanced. All rowers will be placed in mixed boats; eights, fours, and quads. Teams will race against each other, then the winner of each heat will race for the Gold (wrench). All adults club members are encouraged to attend. Racing is on Saturday from 9am - 3pm.
See our coaches and team captains for more details. Plan on going up Friday night, staying the weekend in the beautiful Traverse City area (we typically get an airbnb together), and enjoy the wine tasting, bike riding, dune climb, or other attractions in the area.
Be sure to sign up on Slack and complete the TACR waiver; copies are at the boathouse. Seat fees are $10/rower. There will also be trailering/gas fee and lodging costs.
We'll all be in various boats, but we will be representing GRRA, so be sure to bring your team gear!
