Winter training will focus on improving strength and endurance in preparation for the spring racing season and is open to any athlete who has completed at least the beginner level or has prior rowing experience. At this time, all training will be virtual. Rowers will receive a training packet and Tom will decide on Team Virtual Nights. Practices will include a varied combination of erg training, cardio, stretching & yoga, and weight training. There will be an emphasis on personal improvement throughout the season and the coaches will help each athlete set individual goals.
Athletes of all experience levels are welcome to participate.
Cost includes the training program and coaching fees.
1st 6 Weeks:
January 17 - February 26
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 5:30 to 7:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 to Noon.
2nd 4 weeks:
February 28 - March 26 (Dock In)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 5:30 to 7:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 to Noon.
Our Head Coach, Tom Postma, will be conducting the winter training. There is one ergatta planned; dates and times of events to be announced during practice.
